Back To the Beach: Why We Are Relaunching After 8 Years

Hi, I’m Kimberly Renee, and I’m obsessed with finding the perfect beach cooler.
If you’ve been here before, you might noticed things have been a bit quiet. Eight years quiet, to be exact.
In 2018, BestBeachCoolers.com started as a passion project. But as life got busy, the site sat dormant while the world of outdoor gear kept moving. Technology changed, brands evolved, and—let’s be honest—sand-proof wheels got a whole lot better.
Why come back now?
During my time away, I realized something: The internet became flooded with generic reviews. Most “Best Cooler” lists today are written by people who have never stepped foot on a beach, let alone tried to drag 50 lbs of ice through deep, powdery sand in 95-degree heat.
I’m relaunching this site because I missed the “Beach Reality.”
I missed testing if a lid actually keeps the sand out during a Gulf Coast windstorm.
I missed seeing if a “backpack cooler” actually stays comfortable after a mile-long trek to a hidden cove.
I missed providing honest, human advice to families who just want their sandwiches to stay dry and their drinks to stay cold.
Our 2026 Promise
We aren’t just a “review site.” We are a Database of Solved Problems. Every article you see here is being rebuilt from the ground up for 2026 standards. We combine years of historical knowledge with fresh, hands-on testing. We don’t just read the spec sheets; we get salt water on the hinges and sand in the wheels so you don’t have to.
Whether you’re a solo traveler, a wine lover, or a parent hauling gear for four, we’re back to help you find the last cooler you’ll ever need to buy.
See you on the sand,
Kimberly Renee, Founder, BestBeachCoolers.com
